Why I love languages
I get my love for languages from the Quran verse: "Oh humanity! Indeed, We created you from a male and a female, and made you into peoples and tribes so that you may ˹get to˺ know one another. Surely the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous among you. Allah is truly All-Knowing, All-Aware" [49:13].
From one of my most cherished chapters, it teaches that God crafted humanity with diverse skin tones and unique traits, promoting the rejection of racism and emphasizing superiority through righteousness alone. Moreover, it implies to me that God designed us all to foster understanding among one another. I believe one of the most effective means of understanding others is through learning their language. By mastering a language, you integrate into that community in a way that's unparalleled. However, this is merely a hobby of mine; I'm not engaged in any formal research in this area.
I'm currently trying to perfect my German, and will move onto Korean after! Wenn du gerne mit mir über Deutsch sprechen möchtest, schreib mir bitte über den "Kontakt" Bereich eine Nachricht! Below, you'll find my specific interests and there's also a subtab which has my poetry if you are interested :)

Arabic TranslationI'm intrigued by Arabic translation and exploring the Arab world. It's my belief that the Quran should be accessible in every language. During my journey to understand my faith, I found it frustrating that much of the profound scholarly works were exclusively available in Arabic. This limitation troubled me on multiple levels.
Having translations of the Quran and evidence for Islam readily available would address numerous religious inquiries and could serve as an effective way to propagate the message. Naturally, this is just my perspective on why I advocate for such accessibility. |
The death of languagesLinguist K.
